    metabolic balance® Symposium: Stress and Obesity - Change of foods over time

    The effects of stress, a key issue in today's world, on obesity were discussed in the symposium held by metabolic balance® Turkey on November 08, 2015. The presentation by Dr. Didier SOUVETON, the metabolic balance® Scientific Committee Chairman from France, covered various subjects, such as the relationship between stress and eating habits, the effect of cortisol on weight gain, and the positive effects of omega-3 on weight loss.

    Another guest at the symposium was Silvia BÜRKLE, a food engineer from metabolic balance® Germany, who had previously made a very interesting presentation on foods and their change over time at the 1st International metabolic balance® Congress held on March 7, 2015 at Çırağan Palace Kempinski, Istanbul. Silvia Bürkle provided crucial information on how changes resulting from production and storage conditions affected metabolism, and what protection methods might be used, focusing especially on the formation of heavy metals and nitrosamine, and suggesting a great number of practical protection methods as evidence that we were not helpless.
